With retirement age bearing down on us it’s imperative for the baby boomer generation to take the steps necessary to ensure the next thirty to forty years or more truly are going to be our best and we want to know what we need to do to to keep our bodies healthy, our minds active and our finances secure. Unfortunately, it hasn't escaped just about every manufacturer of products or provider of services that we have these questions and they are coming at us hard and fast with conventional wisdom answers. With ten thousand baby boomers turning 65 every day for the next 20 years, our generation is a marketers dream and if you're not on your guard you're going to be sucked into some serious mass delusion.
However, we baby boomers have always rejected the established ways of doing things so, if you’ve found yourself quizzically scratching your head about you're hearing, you’re already on the right track.
There is a huge industry out there pushing pills and creams under the guise of "anti aging" so you can look 20 years younger, but the anti-aging we really need is how to prevent heart disease, arthritis and dementia. How you look cosmetically is relatively unimportant when compared to your health.
How about all of the specialized diets? With the right eating plan you'll never need to go on a diet.
The premise behind the conventional wisdom regarding finances in retirement doesn't apply to us and the truth is that we don’t need millions of dollars socked away to live the lives we want.
Baby boomer retirement is going to be different, but it is going to be up to us as individuals to make it happen. By taking control now we can be as fit, active and carefree as we want while thoroughly enjoying the best time of our lives on our own terms.
The following pages will give you some of the information you need to get you on your way to taking control and, if you'd like more, please check out the book I've written.
